How to remove part of an image

Hi,

I've created this image and want te remove parts of the wheat outside of the squarisch shape.

Plz help 😄 Or sent link to instructional video.

I used the Polygonal Lasso Tool to isolate the square and then Vector Mask (at the bottom of the Layers Palette) to remove the background and the wheat outside the square.

(Here with a yellow layer to indicate removal of the background.)
