Are you printing from a PDF created using an InDesign Acrobat PDF preset (for inkjet printers select High Quality Print). Assuming you're working in RGB color mode in InDesign.

The normal procedure would be to edit the file so that it looks the way you want it, and then print it.

This will usually work if you have a calibrated monitor and use the correct profile for your printer/paper combination.

Or are you asking how to set the black point and adjust saturation in Photoshop?
