I have been having problem with photoshop quite sometimes now probably since the last 2-3 updates.

First I open image in Capture One 20 and adjust brightness, tone, and WB. Then I round trip to process in Photoshop in Tif format.

When I am in PS, after I edit for 10 min or less, image stop responding-zooming, panning, and moving using scroll bar dont work. However, I still can change tools using shortcut and using mouse but tool's icon remain to appear as arrow and doesnt work on the image. I can still merge layers and save. I dont have to close PS to gain control, close image and reopen it again is enough.

Anyone has solution for this problem?

Also I have tried to change GPU performance to Basic and reinstall PS and it still doesnt work.

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

I'm having the same problem - the image stops responding after 5 or 6 minutes of work. It's a pain in the neck to have to close and open it again so frequently. Not sure what's happening or if this is a common issue with Ryzen processors or ROG laptops (that's the only matches in our specs)

Sorry I can't provide a solution.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

Is Flick Panning on?
