Image Not There When I Go Back

Is this some kind of new feature? When I go away from Photoshop, I can't see the image until I click on it. Is there a setting to prevent this?

When I switch to any other program and then go back to Photoshop, still open. I can't see the composition. It's blank until I click on it.

Is your image locked inside the Photoshop application frame or is it floating freely on your desktop?
