Image with spot channel won't save with it on.

How do I do this? Everytime I save the image with the spot channel enabled, when I reopen it is off. See screenshot.

Can you show the channel options--before and after you reopen (saving any changes, of course)?

Here's another example with an image that has 3 colors. As you can see I want all of the channels to be on, but when I open it it just has the gray channel on. When I save it with them on then reopen, it has just gray on again.
