For exampe I have pdf file, named "original_filename.pdf".

This file can be created in Illustrator or Indesign or whenewer you need

And I am making a copy of this file and rename it to "new_filename.pdf".

Then I open this file in Photoshop via pdf import (in Page options - name "new_filename.pdf")

And... wtf! The name of the open file is "original_filename.pdf". Why?

Just because there is an

<rdf:li xml:lang="x-default">original_filename</rdf:li>

tag in the pdf, containing the filename when the file is created?

I have quite a lot of files that I work with. And I make a copy of the file, rename, edit, save. And when rasterizing a file, I get an incorrect file name? This behavior is very difficult to track down in batch processing.

Why was this done at all?
