Installing more recent camera raw plug-ins on CS6

G'day, I use Photoshop CS6 and wish to use raw files from my recently purchase Sony RX100 Mk6. CS6 has plug-in 9.1.1 installed & from Adobe info, I see I need version 10.5 for the Sony raw files. Can it be installed on CS6?

With CS6, you have to use the dng converter for newer cameras. You can't add on any new camera profiles to Camera Raw. 9.1.

Hi,

Camera Raw 9.1.1 was the last compatible version of Camera Raw in CS6 so you won't be able to open your Sony files from this camera model.

The alternative would be to use the 10.5 or greater DNG converter
