Hi there,

Photoshop 22.2 requires the below system specifications and the Intel Iris XE should work fine with the app.

  • On Windows, a GPU with DirectX 12 support and 2 GB of GPU memory
  • On macOS, a GPU with Metal Support and 2 GB of GPU memory

If your using an older graphics card or driver, GPU functionality in Photoshop may be limited or not supported.

Generally, consider using GPUs with an Average Ops/Sec of 2000 or higher on PassMark's GPU Computer Benchmark Chart.

If you still face any issues with Photoshop while using this GPU, please checkout the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html

Thanks,

Akash

Hi Akash,

Thanks for that.

Your specifications say min 2gb gpu but the Intel iris xe is integrated, does that matter ?

The official system requirements don't say. They do state 2GB GPU VRAM, but whether that means on-board VRAM only, or shared system RAM, is unclear.

I think you should realistically expect some functions to be unavailable. It might be good to get some clarification on this, so please report back if you find out more.
