Is the 13" MBP M1 16 RAM 512 SSD good to Photoshop pro work?

I am going trough a dilema, and I am sure some are having the same problem.

I am a Photoshop and Lightroom trainer for amateurs, freelance and pros, and am using 2 MACs:

- A desktop one, late 2011, 20 GB, 500 SSD 24" iMaC

- A MBP, 13" retina, 8 GB, 256 SSD, mid 2013

As you may imagine, I need to upgrade my hardware. The big issue is:

Apple launced the new MBP with the M1 chip, which is receiving lots of thumbs up from those specialists who tested it. But no sign of launching the desktop iMACs with the M1 yet. And I am too impatient to wait.

Do you honesthy believe that a new 13" MBP, M1 chip, 16 RAM, 512 SSD, coupled with an external ADOBE RBG screen, will hande well the latest Photoshop version? (I know about the bugs, but I am sure Adobe is working hard on it, for what it's worth, )

What's your opinion?

Cheers 🙂
