Ah, there is a gradient …

Screenshot 2020-08-05 at 20.02.42.png

Could you please post a screenshot taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?

Is the gradient created via a Gradient Layer, a Layer with a Layer Mask, …?

If the gradient is one or more meaningful editable objects try changing the image to 16bit and, if necessary, blur further and/or add noise.

So it is about the banding?

If so blurring at 16bit seems the approach most likely to produce meaningful results to me.

But you can also (or additionally) try to add noise.

As for screenshots:

https://www.take-a-screenshot.org

The screenshot I posted is a png, so the pixels will become noticable when zoomed in.
