Hi Team photoshop. I have this idea for quite some time and I think it will be cool for future versions of adobe photoshop and other software too. Would it be possible when choosing the record of a file to keep the original history with its layers? Holly file form apart? it would be very practical for a completed image that requires to be retouched again. thank you

That would make all Photoshop document potentially huge. History states consume a huge amounts of data. Each command would create an additional copy of the document in its current state.  External storage is cheap however it will take quite some to to open image files that are gigabytes in size and you may exceeds your external storage if you do not regularly purge your history.   You can currently record history to a file that history record what steps you used  editing the document that history is only for review for it does not record state information.  So the history file is a small fraction of the amount of data compared to document stated information like in Photoshop History palette.  There are performance and resource issued when it come to Adobe Photoshop  history palette.  You need to consider the work you do and be careful with the setting you use in your Photoshop preferences.  Photoshop History state can severally tax your system performance. Photoshop keep history for all open documents huge amount of system resources can be consumed.Capture.jpg
