Keyboard shortcuts for swatches

Is there a way to assign color swatches to a keyboard shortcut?

Imagine you are painting with a wacom tablet in photoshop and you are using only 5 colors. Is there a way to assign a color to a keyboard short for example, the number keys 1-5 for each color, and then when you paint you can easily click 1 or 4 to get the color you want as the foreground color?

And if there isn't an option like that, is there a similar way or an easier way to work instead of each time selecting a color from the swatches?

Thanks!

First off: Do you know that brushes can be saved with »Include Color«? So you could effectively create a »set of crayons« in the Brushes Panel?

Setting the Forground Color to some particular color can be recorded in an Action and the Action can be assigned a Keyboard Shortcut.

I didn't know brushes could be saved with color, thanks for the info 🙂 I will try the actions method, seems pretty obvious to have an option like that. Thanks!
