Most of the time, the problem only happens when I slowly draw a short line. I am using a medium Intuos Pro tablet, the most recent version of photoshop, and a 2019 macbook pro with the Catalina OS.

I just switched to a new computer and the most recent photoshop. This problem didn't occur when I was using my old computer and photoshop cs6 with the same tablet.

I've already tried reinstalling the drivers, changing the pen sensitivity in my tablet settings, and replacing my tablet pen's tip.

Hi. I suggest this: Resetting the brush: After selecting the Brush tool, right-click on the presets icon at the left of the Options panel and select "Reset tool". Reset Photoshop preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#AdjustpreferencesinPhotoshop

On a Mac, if you have wacom driver version 6.3.41-2, to to system preferences. Then open the Wacom Tablet driver. Select your wacom pen, then on the lower left side of the window, click on Options button. Try toggling off "Tip-Up Assist" and see if that removes the dots.
