Photoshop CC just updated few days ago. I found out that the layer mask is not working. Especially when the layer mask is in white color and I use the Black Brush to cover some changes, it does not work. I have re-started the computer again and again but in vain, the layer mask is still not working. I also tried an old pciture in PS and also didn't work.

Hi

No issues here with layer mask in Photoshop 20.0.7 on Windows 10

Perhaps you could post a screenshot with all the pertinent panels opened

What kind of layer are you using, adjustmentlayer or image layer. A screenshot would  be helpful.

Can you please post a screenshot? The layer mask is usually white - and has no effect. Only when you paint with black does it mask.

Is your bush color set to black, and the blending mode set to normal?
