Link placement is disabled and psd is duplicated

This is a Windows 10 CC2020 CreativeCloud environment.
It's not me, but there is an instance where link placement is disabled in a member's Windows environment.

1. Link placement of psd→Save document→Open→Layer has become a smart object.
   (Save -> Grow -> Smart Objects)
2. There is a pattern that is converted the moment the link is placed, and a pattern that becomes after it is saved.
   
3. The psd is duplicated in the same hierarchy (It is duplicated and saved as xxxx-1.psd in the CC shared environment.
   

Is this a problem with the initial settings of Photoshop?
Sorry if this is an elementary problem.

I don’t understand what you are trying to describe, please post meaningful screenshots including the pertinent Panels to illustrate.
