This has been a recurring issue - when I leave Photoshop to use Safari or Bridge or Illustrator, etc., and then go back to Photoshop to paint, I have no pressure. It will return if I select a different brush or tool, but if my first action is to paint, there is now pressure sensitivity.

Hi!
Thanks for the information! Have you updated your Wacom drivers? And one more question, have you tried resetting your preferences? Here is a link for information on resetting your preferences:https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html
Let us know if this fixes the problem or if it continues?

Thanks!
I've tried this a few times with no luck (prior versions), but it actually seems to have worked this time.

Ugh... It's back and happening again.
It seems like it only happens if a brushstroke is my first action. For example: I have Ps running on my Cintiq. Other apps (Bridge, Mail, Safari) running on my iMac. I switch from Ps to Safari with cmd-tab. If I then click on Ps with my pen and draw, it does so with no pressure sensitivity. Other methods (click on Ps with mouse, cmd-tab to Ps) of switching to Ps lead to normal drawing. I guess I'll try reloading my Cintiq prefs again.
Thank you.

It sounds like you're heading in the right direction. Let us know if reloading the Cintiq prefs fixes the issue.
