When using photoshop v22.3 I get a message "could not complete request because of a program error" whenever I try to use levels (ctrl l) or curves (ctrl m). I do not get this error when I use photoshop v21.2.6. What can I do?

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop due to the Program error. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using along with your computers operating system? When are you getting the Program error?

You can try the steps suggested here: https://adobe.ly/2JZDqZB

If the issue persists, please roll back to the previous version of Photoshop (21.2.6) using the steps suggested here: https://adobe.ly/2wH0JjE

Please uninstall the latest version of Photoshop first & select the option to Keep Preferences prior to installing the previous version.

Regards,

Nikunj

Hi, When opening a new layer using the '+ in a square' icon (bottom right), the error 'Photoshop has encountered a problem and needs to close' appears. There is an option to send the report (xml below), which I have done, giving my email address, but no reply has been receieved. Also, in Edit/Preferences any option gives 'Could not complete the xxxxx command because of a program error'. I have reinstalled, but made no difference. Any help greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello,

I need some help troubleshooting some issues on my end with opening any files in Photoshop. Any file I try to open results in the attached error. I also get the same error when I try to close the program. I've had this issue come up over the past couple of versions. Thank you in advance for any help.
