Marquee, Select, and Move tools randomly selecting

Randomly when using the Marquee, lasso, or Move tools will select a space seemingly at random. It happens seveal times an hour and only restarting Photoshop resolves it. This happens with or without a tablet, and the keyboard and mouse aren't causing it. I have tried reinstalling Photoshop, going back to an older version of the software, but it still happens. This happens if all the tools, keystroke, and preferences are at the default settings. This doesn't happen in any other drawing program.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Sorry about your problem, O saw this in older Photpshop versions

Do you updated Photoshop?

Are you using a tablet?

Also you can reset tools (Right -click the tool icon in the Options bar to reset), then reset preferences (Press and hold  Option+Command+Shift as you start Photoshop), and then let us know if that works

I suggest trying to reset the Photoshop Tools and perhaps double-check your mouse and/or tablet settings.
