Hello I am new to photoshop and I noticed that whenever I draw / paint in photoshop the file size ends up being extremely large so I decided to compare it to Clip Studio Paint using a pure black and white drawing with a dimension of 4961 × 7016, a resolution of 600 ppi and only one layer. The .psd has a file size of 217.4 MB while the .clip (Clip Studio Paint) only has a file size of 3.4 MB. I originally created the document in Clip Studio Paint then saved it as a PNG file then opened it in Photoshop and saved it as a PSD without changing anything. Is this how big file sizes usually are in Photoshop or am I doing something wrong here? Thanks.
