Hey guys, I have been running PS 2020 and in the last couple of days I have started to have issues with my brush.  I have uninstalled and re-installed PS and my wacom and I have tried new files....

My brush doesn't seem to be working at all! or very very intermittently. I can't edit anything and I am totally stuck!!!

This is not good, I am trying to extract background and now I am at an impasse with the program.

HELP!!!

Adendum:

It appears to work intermittently on the normal layer, but definitely not on the mask.

To boot, now layers are not hiding when I turn them off, other have half their masks applied and others still just sseem to disappear!

Hi there,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind going to the Help menu in Photoshop, then System info and share the exact version of Photoshop you are using? Also, please tell us which operating system you are working on. Did you start facing the issues after an update to Photoshop or the Wacom drivers?

You can try toggling Legacy Compositing ON/OFF by going to the Preferences for Photoshop, then Performance. Once done, quit and relaunch Photoshop to check if that help

Thanks - I did turn the Legacy Compsiting to OFF and it worked. Just frustrating that an entire day of work was lost before I found a solution.....
