My layers are gone...!!

I have been working on a magazine every day for a couple of week and today, I just opened some pages to work on, and all the pages are flattened.  The psd opens and then the screen looks like it opens another in the background (it doesn't) and I then i'm just left with a flat psd.  There are 5 pages with no layers, yet some still have them.  #help. There is so much work in these pages... Ive seen other posts regarding something similar but they are form 2018...

Quite frankly a user error does not seem impossible. 

If the psd opens at all, but the Layers have been merged, then file corruption does not seem likely. 

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

Also: What do you mean by »pages« exactly?
