Need color in copyright

CS6. Pick color from swatches but only white shows up when doing copyright or signature. Any help would be appreciated.

can you explain more. Are you registered as a copyright or creating one in PS?

Then please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Channels, Swatches, Options Bar, …) visible.
