I need some help with the new save as dialog box. When saving a flattened image as a jpeg, I now have to click on save a copy in order to find the jpeg format from the drop-down menu. As well, it appears my files are not saved at their maximum capacity. The files have previously been saved as 10-12 mgs, now only 3, on maximum. Why is this happening?

From 22.4 Saving works as follows:

If your file contains any items that are not supported in your required format (e.g. layers or 16 bits/channel or hidden pixels from cropping without delete cropped pixels being checked..... etc) then the file format is moved to the Save a Copy menu. This was driven by changes in the Mac Operating System, although the changes are applied to both Mac and Windows versions to keep them aligned.

As for the file size on save, did you use the same jpeg quality settings?
