I'm not able to open NEF files from Nikon Z7 or Nikon Z50 in Photoshop CS6 on Windows. In Bridge the thumbnails don't show and instead the PSD icon shows.

Is there a way to wrok with NEFs from Nikon Z7 and Z50 in Photoshop CS6?

If not, I hope there is a workaround because I prefer not to have a subscription
