Sir,

I tried to drag a jpg photo to photoshop CS3 version.

After that I got a pop up display from photoshop "Could not complete your request

because a SOFn, DQT, or DHT JPEG marker is missing before a JPEG SOS marker".

Why?

Sounds like the file somehow got corrupted. Post the image and we can give it a shot.

Was the WhatsApp involved since it's known to corrupt jpegs and give that very message when attempting to open the jpeg into photoshop.

What operating system are you using?

Try opening the file in Paint (windows) or Preview (mac), then save as a tif and open the tif in photoshop.

Often corrupted jpgs can be opened in camera raw.

In photoshop cs3 use File>Open As then in the Open as dialog click on your jpeg and change the Open as dropdown to Camera Raw, then press Open.
