How do I add adjustment layers that affect opnly the model?

I made a mask of her and want to lift the colors of her clothes.

Also want to lift the colors in the background but I can't seem to isolate them.

Just copy the mask you have to any adjustment layers.

Another option is to clip the adjustment layer to the model layer (top layer).

Add the adjustment layer, then do one of the following:

  1. Alt/Option click on the line between the layers (my usual method)
  2. Right-Click and select Create Clipping Mask
  3. Go to Layers > Create Clipping Mask (keyboard shortcut is listed there too)
