photodownloader in PS 20 and 21

Why has this downloader app been stupid slow in the last two versions. It won't remember advanced dialog, so I have to go to that everytime, and it takes several seconds for a command to register. Anyone else having this issue?

Are you using Bridge, Photoshop Elements or a 3rd party application?
