The levels and other adjustment sliders become unresponsive once they are selected for changing. The software is updated and there is no other issue.

Hi there,

Apologies for the frustration as Photoshop keeps freezing when you use Adjustment sliders.

If you're using Photoshop 2020 version 21.1.3 then we have been able to reproduce the freeze and the engineering team is currently investigating a fix.

Current workarounds that we're aware of:

  • Disable Rulers (CMD+R on Mac, Ctrl+R on Win)
  • Move the Adjustment dialog outside of Photoshop's workspace/interface before touching any sliders.

Let us know how this goes.
Regards,

Akash

Dear Akash,
Thank you, advised I tried and it worked. However on a !3" macbook pro, I
have very little screen space to take tha window away from PS workspace.
Shall eagerly await a more enduring and a practical solution.
with best regards,
Shivendra

Hi there,

Thanks for the update. You can turn off the "Rulers" from the View menu in Photoshop as suggested you and it should resolve the problem for you. Our engineering team working on it to fix it as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience with us.
