Photoshop 2020 showing blank screen until I open a new file

My photoshop screen is blank when I open it there is nothing there but black. I have to go to open and then it will open a file and I can edit and everything is alright until I go to save. When I click save nothing happens and then i click to exit out and it saves are you sure you want to close before saving? So i click save again. nothing happens. Go to exit says the same thing. Repeat. I have to export the files in order to save them. I used to be able to just click save and then i could come back and continue working on it. Now I can't. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't change anything. I tried resetting the preferences to default and that also didnt change anything.

Sorry that Photoshop 2020 is showing a black screen on top of  the Layers you work with. 

Would you mind deselecting the option "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?
