Hello,  I have a Macbook Pro running macOS Catalina 10.15.4. and Photoshop 2020.  I have never had issues like this in the past.  I am loading a .JPG file, cropping, color correcting and saving.  Every few minutes or so, Photoshop crashes.

If anyone has had similar issues and can offer suggestions for fixing this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi there,

We are sorry about the experience due to Photoshop crashing on your Mac. Since when are you facing this issue? Did this start after a particular update and does the app crash while performing a specific task?

Please update Photoshop to the latest version, 21.1.3 and check if the issue persists. You can also try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Regards,

Nikunj

I did all of the steps you suggested, including manually deleting the preferences and upgrading (my cloud auto updates with Adobe are turned "on") to the latest version.  It's nearly impossible to get my work done.  Photoshop crashes in an unpredicatable manner - sometimes shortly after opening, other times when I step away.  For the most part, it happens when I'm loading a file or browsing in Finder or Bridge.  Still other times, I will step away while a file is loaded and it crashes.

Here is the summary of the dump file:

Hi Ted,

We're sorry that the issue persists. Please go to the "System Preferences" of your Mac, then "Security and Privacy", then select the "Privacy" tab. Then select "Accessibility" from the list on the left and add Photoshop to the list. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under "Full Disk Access". Once done, please restart the computer and check if it helps.

You can try going to the Preferences for Photoshop, then Performance and disable the option to Use Graphics Processor. Once done, quit and relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

Regards,

Nikunj

I tried all of those suggestions, only to have it crash again.  I also completely uninstalled and reinstalled all Adobe Creative Cloud applications after your suggestions and still this:

Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[__NSArrayM _fastCStringContents:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x60000363ee20'
abort() called
terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException

Can you open a ticket with the developers of Photoshop to investigate this?
