Photoshop auto-updated (I could have sworn I had that turned off) and now I have 2021 which opens to a blank working area. Old projects, new projects, blank canvas, nothing. I've zoomed in/out, fit to screen, tried hiding and showing layers, nothing. I can see the rulers and tools but nothing else.

2019 Macbook Pro, 10.15.7,

Intel UHD Graphics 630

Any thoughts?

Hi there,

Sorry that your Photoshop screen turns black while trying to access the workspace.

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Thanks,

Akash

Thanks for the response- I ended up having to delete and reinstall the app.
