photoshop 2021, continuously freezing when using pen tool

Every time I use the pen tool to make a path in the most recent Phhotoshop, the tool becomes unresponsive and I have to save the document and reopen. It is costing me large amounts of time. Does anyonee know how I can deactivate this version and reactivate an older version?

Hi there,

Sorry that the Pen tool in Photoshop 22.3 is freezing continuously.

This has been acknowledged as a known issues in the latest Photoshop build and our engineering team is working towards a fix.

There are a few workarounds shared by other users:

1. Press CTRL/ CMD + H
2. Maintain a Work Path, then working on named Paths should work as expected. 
3. Roll back to previous version of Photoshop. See: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html
