Photoshop 2021 memory issue, saving, dragging. Photoshop freezing & not working properly on macOS

Since the update of 2021 photoshop doesn't work for me. dragging makes the portion of images disappear, lagging and freezing upon simple tasks, saving takes ages, and memory usage is a disaster. What is going on? Im on a macbook pro 15" 2017 mojave 10.14.6.  I am a working professional and have used photoshop from the early days never seen an update that bad I need to revert to 2019 , 2020 wasn't that great either. Has anyone had similar problems?
