Updated to 22.2.0 version (Mac) and the move tool isn't responding typically when choosing layers. I have to go to the Layers panel, click on the layer to activate it. If I clock within the image it barely responds.

What are the Move Tool’s settings in the Optios Bar?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

Hi there,

Sorry that the Move tool in Photoshop 22.2 does not work on your Mac as expected as it does not respond at times.

Would you mind sharing the version of macOS you're working with?

A good starting point would be to reset the move tool to see if that makes any difference. See this article to know how to reset a tool in Photoshop: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#tool

If that does not help, restore the app preferences to default and let us know how it goes.

You can check out the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2Qzc0K3

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Thanks,

Akash
