Photoshop cannot open PSD files

I updated Photoshop 2020 - it's now 2021. It will not open any PSD files. It says: Could not complete your request because of a program error. I have restarted my computer as well. Nothing works.

Hi  I have the same problem and keep getting the 'program error' message.  I have urgent work to deliver look forward to hearing solution suggestions.  I also restarted my pc and followed instruction given by Adobe as a quick fix the date we received the photoshop update to 2021.  I hoped Adobe would have solved the bug by now.  Thanks for your help.

I disabled the GPU and everything works fine.
