Photoshop always freezes on my computer. I never know when it will happen, but it always freezes. Then I Force Quit, but even then it wont ReOpen. Nothing I do works at all. Nothig. At. All. No suggestion so far has solved this either.

Specs:

  • iMac Late 2012
  • OS 10.15.4
  • Photoshop CC 2020 Version 21.2
  • 32gb of Ram

Previous Attemps:

  • ReInstall ALL Adobe programs
  • Deleted all preferences
  • Changed Security Preferences
  • Turned Off "Use Graphics Processor"
  • Use Legacy options (Actually made workflow worse with glitches)
  • Pretty much everything I could do without an Adobe rep sitting down at my computer...

I like to be able to use my computer again normally, but fear that I may need to just buy an entire new computer since Apple doesn't support this model anymore. Though how can I even work on projects to earn me money if my computer doesn't even work?

Update: Just reinstalled, opened up a file, clicked on opacity dropdown and it's frozen again. It doesn't matter what I click, everything can trigger the freeze.

Would it help if I backed up my computer, did a hard wipe of my computer and reinstall everything?

Is it time that I got myself a new imac all together? I know late 2012 is pushing it now, but it still works, just has some minos

Does anyone have a suggestion?

I'm all ears.
