Photoshop CC quits/crash after 2 seconds on Mac

I successfully updated Photoshop to the new CC version, but when I launch it I go through the splash screen, then everything seems OK, but after a couple of second it crashes and quits.

I tried repairing permissions, etc. but no help.

how can I get it to work?

good thing I didn't uninstall the CS6 version, so I can continue using it.

Either look up the existing logs in the console or ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, and copy one of the reports here.

Or click the "details" button in the crash report dialog and paste the crash report here.

- I don't have any Adobe specific crash logs in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, just a couple of entries about apple qmaster

- I never had the crash report dialog pop up. Photoshop just quits.

- I also tried installing InDesign CC and the same thing happens, so I guess it's not related to Photoshop CC only but to the entire CC maybe?

please tell me other ways of providing informations to you so you can help me

You said Photoshop crashed - and it would show an Apple crash report dialog at a minimum.

If it is quitting without launching - then something is most likely wrong at the OS level, and you may need to repair your OS install.

I wasn't sure if it was a crash or what.

btw, I never had any problems with previous Creative Cloud, so I don't see why I'm getting problems with the new one.

same OS, same setup, I just used CS6 apps hours ago flawlessly without problems.

I tried launching Photoshop CC and then very quickly I clicked in the menu bar, and found out that it keeps running as long as I have some kind of window opened inside the app (such as preferences, open dialog, etc.)

with this, would a System Info from inside PSCC work out for you?

Check the OS settings and make sure you don't have the OS set to close apps that have zero windows open.

/Users/<your user name>/Library/Logs/Adobe/LogTransport/Archive/Adobe Photoshop CC

I found the location, but the LogTransport2 folder is empty, even if its modification date shows that it has been modified when I installed Photoshop CC

Same problem to me.

When i try to download PS CC from CC manager its stops somewhere after 51% and then displays that PS installation is complete.

After launching PS CC app 2 sec then crash.

it was related to signing in and logging out the creative cloud utility.

then everything went smoothly, PSCC no longer quits

Hi,

Can you please try the following:

1. Launch Adobe Creative Cloud

2. Go to Preferences and then signout

3. Relaunch Photoshop CC and resignin using same Adobe id.

ok, for me this was weird.

I installed a brand new OS on a new SSD.

I was trying to update it to Lion but this was freezing in Appstore.I googled it and found an article that it was about writing permission to /library and what i should do is

wrote this in terminal,

chflags nouchg ~/Library

and then this,

chflags uchg ~/Library

nothing changed though, Lion was still freezing and found out it was about the other partitions connected to Macbook Pro.I unmounthed them and Lion worked.

So it seems irrelevant so far but not .

I installed Photoshop CC and it was CRASHING instantly, i tried the correct answer here but was not good for me and then i saw that there were tons of lines about /Library in the crash report.

Then I wrote this again

chflags nouchg ~/Library

And SUCCESS, well for me at least.

I have no experience or knowledge about what's going on but found my own solution like a caveman.Maybe this could help.
