Photoshop crashes on closing

Since the day of installation, Photoshop 22.3.1 crashes every time I close the program. Mac mini 2012 16 g ram, running Mojave, nothing else new right before or after the PS update. I call PS up via Lightroom Classic latest version, and save back to Classic when done. The image I'm working on saves properly, so I am not losing any data, but as soon as I invoke the Close command for PS, it starts the spinning ball, which goes on for about a minute, then it crashes. Lightroom is not affected by this. I'd appreciate any suggestions about fixing this annoying problem.

The latest update is having issues recognizing mid-range GPUs. Try installing the previous version of Photoshop and see if the issue persists. Adobe is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. In the meantime, this is the recommended action.
