Photoshop Crashes on Startup - macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Since the most recent couple of updates, Photoshop crashes whenever I try to launch it.  I sometimes don't even get a splash screen.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop using Creative Cloud, with no luck.  I've also made sure Photoshop is active in the Security & Privacy system settings under both "Accessibility" and "Full Disk Access."

I'm running macOS Catalina 10.15.7, and Photoshop 2021 v.22.4.1.

Hi @kmachacek , There is an instability on that version of the operating system that makes OpenCL unreliable. As a result, we just released a patch, 22.4.1, that disables OCL features on that version of the Mac OS in Photoshop.

The issue was fixed by Apple, but only offer it in 11.3, so they are recommending customers upgrade to 11.3 for that functionality.

Your shortest solution is to install 22.4.1 and continue on 10.15.7 but without OpenCL accelerated functionality. Your best solution is to upgrade to 11.3.
