Photoshop Crashing while cropping or saving files

Whenever I try to crop and image or save a file as on the computer or on the cloud, the program closes immediately. I can export a file, but I can't save the file without it crashing. What could be the problem?

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

This is a brand new laptop. I just installed Adobe on it. --

Nonetheless please try trashing the preferences on start-up.

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you're using along with your computers operating system? Did you start facing this issue after an update to Photoshop or your computers operating system?

I just purchased this laptop and installed Photoshop from the Creative
Cloud. So this is the latest version. I did not have this issue on my old
device. --
