Photoshop CS4 wont launch all of a sudden.

I have an old version of Photoshop, CS4. I only use very basic features of Photoshop so it's all I need. I don't want to pay for the subscription to get current versions. It's been woking fine for years. All of a sudden it wont launch and it is trying to verify I have the subscrition in order for it to launch. How to do work around this and get my old version to launch again?
