Today we released Photoshop update version 13.0.6 (for Macintosh perpetual license customers) and 13.0.1.3 (for Windows perpetual license customers). This release corrects a number of issues.

Notable bugs fixed (Mac & Win)

  • Transformed text layers have character and paragraph settings that are different/inconsistent from previous versions
  • While transforming type the values are updated correctly in the Character Panel but not the Options Bar
  • Text returns incorrect tracking value after transform.
  • After a transformation, changing leading values for text by scrubby slider unpredictable
  • Multi-line text not rendered correctly in saved PDF files

Notable Windows specific bugs fixed

  • While using Photoshop (e.g. Color Picker or Layer Styles) PS launches browser with Help URL and crashes
  • Move Tool context menu to links layers broken

How to get the Update

In Photoshop, choose Help > Updates...

Wow, that one's been a long time coming!    I hope the engineer who finally found it got a bonus!

It was indeed a very tricky issue to reproduce and track down. It took a number of things to come together to finally solve.

These updates are only for perpetual customers not for subscription users, They would not apply if you are an active subscription user and you try applying it from installing through 13.0.1.3 patcher from adobe.com.

I hope users facing issue are Perpetual users.

Please provide us with the following logs.

You can find them at:

PS Installer logs

For Mac:

Library\Logs\Adobe\Installer

For Win:

Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers

AAM logs

For Mac:

/Volumes/%Volume Name%/Users/%Username%/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0

For Win:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater

You can zip all the files together and send us through mail. This would help us in finding the root cause.

Appreciate your help. Apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Ashutosh

Does the Adobe Application Manager take into consideration that a Perpetual user may have a trial 30 Day Photoshop CC installed on their system. Adobe Application Manager  sure tried to install updates to CS6 when I used Photoshop CS6 Perpetual menu help update. Photoshop CC Trial state I have 24 Days left. You can see in My Adobe Products I have no subscriptions.  Currently I'm a Perpetual user with a trial Photoshop CC install. I have sent the requested foulder  7-z zipped. Pleas help me fix my CS6 Perpetual install.  I want to see if the Scripting Bug that I reported which Adobe Fixed in the subscription cs6 that SG stated may get fixed in the perpetual cs6 was included.

Yes it does, you must be having latest AAM on your system, To make sure, verify Help->Updates for any available AAM update or download from below link.

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773http://www.adobe.com/appsmanager/index.html

Just make sure you have valid trial, these updates would work.

Please provide me with 13.0.1.3 installer logs as well for root cause analysis.

Ashutosh

I have use the link and downloaded it. Installed it twice for it just runs without an error mess and without and message it did install.  CS6 for no update Showed version 13.0 not 13.0.1 so I tried running update 13.0.1.3 update patch it failed.  I then started the trial Photoshop CC menu help>updates saw the manual update had failed but a second menu help>updates showed up to date and Nag Screen, help>about Photoshop and menu Help>Updates show. I including system info from both cc and cs6 it looks like cs6 may be trying to unstall 13.0.2 and not 13.0.1.3

ccstatus.jpg

I zipped the foulder you wanted and sent it to you with last night failure do you want me to zip it again?

@rubenchosx,

Reinstaling was required to repair the critical files which were modified or deleted, For patching these files are critical and it fails if these file are in anyway modified by external tools. This happen if you have disk cleanup tools like MacKeeper & CleanMyMac.

In your case it was CleanMyMac which modified the files.

Ideally you should not be using such tools as it does make changes to files which can impact working of Adobe Photoshop. They probably thinks those files are not being used, If still you use it then make sure it does not touches your Adobe Photoshop folder installed in /Applications.

Thank You

After I installed CS6 on top of itself all the Updates installed without problems. My Plug-ins, Extension and Script tree addition were all still intact and working.

The Scripting Bug fix that SG stated he would put back in the hopper was not included in the update again. Why is it being withheld its been programmed in the supscription cs6 version and in CC?

I got:

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.3

There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210

I downloaded and extracted the 13.0.1.3 stand-alone installer, unzipped it and ran 'AdobePatchInstaller.exe' as Administrator. That says it completed successfully and Help> Updates says everything is up-to-date. But Help> About only shows 13.0.1 [x32|x64] - it does not show the fourth level release number.

The .exe files both show version 13.0.1.34 so I guess it's all OK, but maybe for future releases the full version number could be shown in Help> About.

Cheers,

Methinks this could be an artifcact of an AAM bug that was introduced sometime back. I posted here that I was getting errors that I did not have a valid license and one of the XML files states I have the CC version - not true.....but downloading the patch and running as seems to have worked

Same here only shows 13.0.1

This is from aamu - Looks like it's checking for a CC sunscription - then says no - check for valid perpetual license and does not find one!!!!
