Photoshop CS6 crashed twice last week, 2 days in a row.  I have HP laptop with Win7, x64.

Is there a newer Visual C++ that I need to install?  (my latest one is Visual C++ 2017)

Thank you.

Use the Windows reliability History Viewer. See if there are and Crash reports for Photoshop stopped working  and post them.  If you want help to  need to provide some information to work with.   My car stopped running  2 days in row Why.  Now if I add I pushed the Stop button you may be able to give me the answer.  CS6 is like 8 Years old 2012 it may require an old visual C++.  CS6 runs well on Windows 10 most likely as well as on old Windows 7.

Try resetting All PS tools and your Photoshop preferences.

Hi JJMack,

My apologies for the this late reply... I did not receive any notice from Adobe last year that there was a reply to my question above.

If I remember correctly, there was no crash report from Windows, so I wouldn't have been able to share any info back then.   Thank you anyway.

Best regards.
