Hello!

I have a question, and I can't seem to find many answers for it

So I have Photoshop CS6, and I know how to use it, I've been

using it for a while. Everything worked fine on my old laptop,

but I've run into some problems on my new laptop.

So I've been working on a painting for hours, everything was running smoothly

Once I was done and going to save my .PSD as a .JPEG

For some reason when I click "Save As" nothing pops up

The usual pop-up window didn't show up, not even an program error window pop up

I'm really confused and extremely frustrated

I've been clicking the "Save As" but still nothing happens, I tried restarting it, and it didn't help.

My pictures 'Save' normally, but the 'Save As' doesn't work. It isn't grayed out.

My picture is at RGB and 8 bit, the size is 900x1200 and resolution of the picture is at 300

I use Photoshop CS6 on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 1370

Someone please help! I've been extremely frustrated with this!

Try resetting Photoshop's preferences:Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop.  If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be VERY quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being set to defaults.

Okay I will try that

But I'm just wondering, sorry if I sound stupid but

What do you mean by "cold starting photoshop"? Heheh

Do I press all the keys when I start Photoshop, or when the program is already

on?

You double click on the Photoshop icon, and mash those keys down before that splash screen shows up.

When you have the time.

Whenever Photoshop acts strange and you know that you did not install anything else or open a suspicious file (virus), then a lot of times the Photoshop Settings files got corrupted.

This should delete the old one and Photoshop will create a new settings file.

You must be very busy 3 years later still not replied lol

I think those that replied kinda missed the point so will re-raise it

After working for hours on a project it won't let him save it

While doing the reset would prob help IF he cant save you suggesting that they trash the work to close it? that's not a good solution ( if we were using a cheap or free product then yea maybe, but it's not & this frequently happens

If your screen resolution was less than 1024x768, you have to change it to 1024x768 and it will work fine.
