Photoshop CS6 won't open

I have the Adobe Premium Suite CS6 which I purchased  8 yrs ago and which I use regularly.

My Photoshop suddenly won't open, giving me two error messages. The first: "Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered", after pressing OK I receive another error message: "Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid (it has been deleted)".

The last thing I did in PS was a batch action two weeks ago. Could it have anything to do with it? Also, to make room on my C drive, I did delete several files from my computer, but not any files regarding Adobe or Photoshop as far as I recall.

The other Adobe programs open normally. What can I do??

I can't work without it!

The folder you should rename  is the one I posted it is not Photoshop its your user id application data for CS6.  Renaming it will make it look like your user id never used Photoshop when you try to start it.  Photoshop should then build your user data like Photoshop Preferences and Photoshop may start for there should be no corrupt cs6 user data for you renamed your user data that may be corrupted.

Try renaming the folder.

"C:\Users\(your User ID)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6"

to

"C:\Users\(your User ID)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 old"

See if CS6 will open then....

Photoshop "sits" on my computer at this address:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)

Does it make a difference?
