My photoshop keep freezing and I can't shut it down with right click close window. It is also not appearing in the task manager so I have to restart the whole laptop. The program will freezes when I start using it for about 5-10minute. This happened a lot of time, I tried reinstalling, update to the latest version and even format my laptop but no use.

Another thing is when I reopen it (after restarting my laptop) , the program setting will be the same as last time I saved. For example, when I am saving the file, the current brush is Brush A, then I switch to Brush B and after a while the program freeze. So when I reopen the program the current brush is set to brush A instead of B (that's go for other settings like eraser, etc).

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that you're not able to work in Photoshop. Could you please try updating Photoshop to version 21.2.3 through the Creative Cloud app and let us know if that helps?

If that does not work, then try restoring Photoshop's preferences back to default and see how it goes. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Regards,
Sahil
