photoshop getting stuck randomly after a while

my photoshop is crashing while working on a file and i have to force quit everytime it gets stuck. The photoshop doesn't crash in the background, it only crashes while working on a file. In the task manager photoshop cpu usage is showing as 0%.

Photoshop version- ps 2020 (v21.2.2)

My laptop specs-

Dell XPS 15 7590 

intel i7 9th gen

16 gb ram

1 tb ssd

4gb gtx 1650 graphic card
