I have Mac OS Big Sur 11.4 OS and I just downloaded the desktop app of the PS and I can't get it to open, it  is not responding.  Is there a fix for this?

Hi there,

Sorry that Photoshop is freezing while launching on your Mac running the macOS BigSur.

Which version of Photoshop are you using and how long have you been facing this issue?

Would you mind checking the steps mentioned in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/freeze-on-launch.html and let us know if that helps?

Thanks,

Akash

thank you for reaching out to me. photoshop is still not responding after
following the instructions sent to me in removing any large presets. I am
using Photoshop 2021, it was updated yesterday and my MAC OS is Big Sur
11.4. I think photoshop will need to be updated to work with MAC OS Big
Sur 11.4. The link you sent me was for me to update my OS to Big Sur 11.2,
it is now Big Sur 11.4. Can someone please contact me? Now I have removed
my presets, and will need to move them back, and I can't since I cannot
open PSD.

I can also be contacted at XXXXXXXXXX

Thank you!

In some cases, having the latest driver may not cure all problems related to video adapters and drivers. The quickest and easiest way to determine if the problem is with your video adapter or driver is to disable the Use Graphics Processor preference.

See Disable the GPU to quickly narrow down the issue.

Try logging into another account (you may need to make one), still crashing?

Try starting up in Safe mode (hold down Shift Key when booting), still crashing?

You might want to try running a free utility like Onyx: still crashing?

I'm running 11.4, latest version, no issues. So it seems to be some conflict somewhere.

Can you do a clean install of the OS, perhaps on a boot drive and see if Photoshop runs?

You might also try rolling back a version of two, that's done in the CC application (where you install) after clicking on the three dots (...); other versions.

I am no expert on how to do a clean install etc...this happened as soon as
I updated my OS, I'm pretty sure that PSD ia not compatible with the new
OS. I've already deleted some presets and won't be able to put them back
until I have PSD working. Can someone from ADOBE help me with this?

I am using PSD CC so that I don't have to do any of this install
/uninstall. Can you please have someone remotely fix this?
