Photoshop operating problems

What is wrong with Photoshop 2020? The drag from using a brush for example is awful and when using the sharpening tool I cannot use any other tool for minutes at a time.From time to time the whole programme crashes. I have read the notes on performance and have adjusted the settings on my PC to try to resolve this problem but nothing helps. The whole package was working well until about two and a half months ago and it has been worsening steadily since then. Can I install a previous version to recover some sort of performance as, at the moment, Photoshop 2020 is not worth the subscription!

Photoshop version 21.2.4 is a bit of a mess, lots of people having issues with it, seems to have started with version 21.2

I mostly use version 2019 as it's way more stable, you can revert to a previous version from the CC app

New features are great but Adobe don't seem to be bothered about the issues with this version and we have a new version coming soon no doubt more new features and lot's of bugs, it's the Adobe way at the moment, quality testing seems a thing of the past I'm afraid
