Photoshop project freezes

Hello,

I am a photoshop user. My photoshop keeps freezing randomly. I am able to "save the project", close it and reopen the project when it freezes. However I am not able to keep working on the active project without closing it at all. No clue about what causes the problem. I created DMP (Dump) files from the frozen state and normal state. However, I am not able to upload them here.

Which version of Photoshop and OS?

How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences?

Thanks for quick reply! I was using the default preferences. I also tried to modify the preferences after some investigation but it didnt help. You can see my current Performance preferennces in the screenshot.
I am using internal disk, HDD 250/680 GB.
16 GB memory. My memory usage is around %50-60 while working on photoshop.
My CPU usage is also quite normal, The computer or the app doesnt freeze but the project freezes.
I also tried to uninstall/reinstall photoshop, not helping 😞

Are you working on a local hard disk or external  device ?

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.

You’ve indicated the size of your hard disk but not how much spare disk capacity you have - it's important that you have plenty of space disk capacity for Photoshop to operate.

Resetting the preferences didnt help. I use 250 GB of 680 GB.

I have Photoshop 2021 22.4.1 and Windows 10 x64
